I'm sure many have opinions about this subject of bending kiln dried wood or in my case not bending it. From my experience, I would never put myself through the misery of getting kiln dried wood to bend. I say this because I have tried. The issue is the moisture content of the wood. In air dried wood, you generally get anywhere from 15%-22% moisture content in the wood. This saves time in the bending process. I will not bore you with the technicalities.
